BHU UET/PET (2020) Revised Exam Dates Announced

Banaras Hindu University admission process started from 30 January 2020. The last date for application was set as 29 February 2020 which was extended to 12 March 2020. Students who have completed the online application process within the stipulated date will have to appear in the written examination. Please inform the student that BHU examination was postponed due to coronavirus but now the examination dates have been announced by the university. Earlier in a normal situation, BHU conducts its UET/PET test in the month of April-May and declare the results till June. Generally from July – August commencement of new session takes place. Earlier it was to be conducted from 16-31 August but for now, dates are changed to 24 August – 14 September, 2020.

As per the latest update from Joint registrar, the revised University entrance test schedule for admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of Banaras Hindu University has been announced. The entrance tests for all Postgraduate programmes, LLB.- (3 years), B.Ed./B.Ed. Special Education, B.P.Ed, BFA and BPA  and other Master courses are scheduled in the first phase from August 24 to 31, 2020.

The entrance test for remaining Undergraduate programmes like B.A (Hons.) Arts, B.A.(Hons.) Social Sciences, B.Com (Hons.)/B.Com -FMM, B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag., B.A. LL.B -5 years (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths, B.Sc. (Hons.) Bio, Shastri (Hons.) and different programmes of B.Voc will be held in the second phase i.e. from September 09, 10, 11 and 14, 2020. The schedule of second phase of entrance tests will be available on portal by 17.08.2020.

All eligible candidates are advised to download the latest entrance test schedule from BHU entrance test portal. As per provisions of the University Entrance Test Bulletin, admit card for entrance tests may be downloaded from the entrance test portal around one week before the date of entrance test.

Further Processes

BHU Entrance Admit Card

Admit Card for entrance test 2020 will be released on the official website. Students will be able to get it by visiting the official website. The students appearing for the test will have to take it as without admit card will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall. Therefore, students have to pay special attention to download the admit card before the examination and take a print out of it. Students will have to download themselves No hard copy will be sent by the University. Admit Card will be provided only to those students whose applications will be accepted. Students whose applications will not be accepted, they will not be able to download the admit card. In the admit card, the complete information about the candidate’s name, gender, cast, name of examination, the medium of examination, location, date and time of examination etc. will be given, easily available on their portal.

BHU UET/PET Answer Key

BHU will be releasing it on the official website of Answer of different sets of question paper. Students will be able to get BHU UET/PET Answer key by visiting the official website. The student can guess their correct answer as well as do the objections. Answer Key will be released shortly after the 2020 entrance examination.

BHU Entrance Result

BHU Entrance Result 2020 will be released shortly after the exam. BHU Entrance Result 2020 will be released online on the official website. After the release of BHU Result 2020, students will be able to get it by visiting the official website. To get BHU UET Result 2020, candidates have to enter ID and DOB only after that they will be able to view and download the result. Candidates whose name will be included in the merit list will be called for counselling on behalf of the institution. During the counselling process, students will get to know the necessary documents which will be verified. During the counselling process, students will get to verify certain documents such as:

  • BHU Admit Card
  • 10th mark sheet and certificate
  • graduation mark sheet and certificate
  • ID proof
  • passport size photo
  • caste certificate
  • birth certificate
  • Aadhaar card etc.

Counselling (for UET/PET)

After the release of the  BHU UET/PET result, merit list will be extracted from the university. Around 3 to 4-time candidates are called for the process of counselling. For example, if there are 30 seats in a course around 90 to 120 students are called depending on course. Students whose name will be released in the merit list will be called for the counselling process. Induction in BHU Counseling 2020 is mandatory. Admission will not be given to the students if the candidates are not involved in the counselling process. Only the selected students have to participate in the counselling process which is conducted by the university itself.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview (For PG)

For Post graduation courses Banaras Hindu University organising Group Discussions and Personal Interviews for final admission. A panel of professor conduct interview and groups are made of students for Discussion. At the same time document verification is also done where the authenticity and other details are also verified. Here also three to 4-time candidates are called in respect of seat. If a candidate is selected then they are informed on their portal with two to three days after GDPI in normal conditions and can lock their seats or can wait for the upgrade.
