In view of the increase in the cases of global epidemic Covid-19, OPD and Elective OT in Sir Sunderlal Hospital and Trauma Center, BHU will be completely closed from April 13 as per the decision taken in the meeting of Covid Care and Monitoring Committee set up at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. According to the notification issued by the Medical Superintendent Office of the hospital, from Tuesday, April 13, only tele OPD services will be available for consultation to patients. Patients will have to register at the official website of Banaras Hindu University website through their mobile number. After registration, the details of the patient will reach the concerned department, after which the doctor will contact the department by contacting the phone number provided by the patient.

Tele OPD will be functional
Surgical oncology, radiotherapy and radiation medicine (RT & RM) will continue with physical OPD following the COVID-19 protocol. For this, the patient will have to register online. Every day, 50 patients (including follow-up patients) can be registered for tele-consultancy, 50 for general speciality departments and 30 for super-speciality departments. This service will not be available on Sundays or holidays. If there is a need to call a patient, then the patient will be given time in advance by the doctor. Patients referred to another department must register online for that department again.
