BHU and Cambridge University will now conduct research in the field of archeology. An MoU was also signed between the two universities on Tuesday regarding this. Dr. Daniel Wunderleich Signed on behalf of Cambridge University and BHU’s Ancient History Culture and Archeology Department Professor ON Singh and Registrar Dr. Neeraj Tripathi signed on the behalf of Banaras Hindu University.

In the Department of Ancient History itself, under the leadership of Professor Rabindranath Singh, several projects have been going on since 2007, with the University of Cambridge in the subject of archeology. Professor Singh said that for the next three years, archaeologists of both departments will work on various projects, including archaeological survey and excavation in India. At the same time, researchers will also get a chance to research. Stated that these MOUs are an important step towards accomplishing the objectives of the ongoing Institute of Immigration program at the university.
