Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (commonly known as MMV) is situated on the left side of the entrance gate of BHU (In front of Sir Sunderlal Hospital). It imparts education at the undergraduate level in 36 subjects across 6 faculties and postgraduate education in Education, Home-Science, and Bio-informatics.

1. Swasti Kunj
Overview
Swasti Kunj hostel is the first hostel you will encounter once you enter the college from the main gate of MMV, even before you get to see the college. Students often get confused and believe Swasti Kunj hostel to be the college itself. It is the largest among all the hostels of Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (MMV).
Number of rooms
There are a total of 48 rooms in Swasti Kunj hostel of MMV, BHU. Only undergraduate students are allotted rooms in this hostel (Swasti Kunj hostel, MMV) that too only of First-year science and social science students. Students who get pretty good marks in the entrance test of BHU get their allotment in Swasti Kunj hostel of MMV, BHU. The rooms are very spacious, and 4 girls are accommodated in a single room. Science students (Maths & Biology Group) are allocated on one floor and the Social students on the other one. Few rooms are available for the guest charge as well
Mess facility
The mess facility available inside the hostel is also there, and food is provided 4 times a day, and one-time food is given on Sunday (chicken for non-veg) and no other meal is given on that day. Mess charge is Rs.3000 per month.
Other facilities
Apart from these, all the festivals like Saraswati puja, Janmashtami as well as DJ night are celebrated here only.
2. Kirti Kunj
Overview
Kirti Kunj Hostel is one of the largest hostels in the MMV, BHU. This is the only hostel where juniors can easily interact with the seniors, being just a floor apart.
Number of rooms
Kirti Kunj Hostel of Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (MMV) has 65 rooms with a few guest charge rooms as well. The students accommodated on the ground floor are from the first year having arts background whereas students accommodated on the First floor are from the second year from different backgrounds (science, social, and arts). Accommodation provided here is on quadruple basis (each room consists of 4 students).
In the second year, the rooms allocated are on the basis of the entrance test scores only. Those who are not top scorers are accommodated here in Kirti Kunj Hostel, MMV.
Mess facility
The mess is also available in Kirti Kunj Hostel and food is provided 4 times a day and one-time food is given on Sunday (chicken for non-veg) and no other meal is given on that day. Mess charge is Rs.3000 per month.
Other facilities
The Kirti Kunj hostel has a common hall on the First floor where students can study, prepare for any function, play together and enjoy with each other.
3. Pragya Kunj
Overview
Pragya Kunj Hostel of MMV, BHU which is commonly known as PK is the latest and most furnished hostel in all the hostels of MMV.
Number of rooms
Pragya Kunj Hostel has a total of 70 rooms and is mostly allocated to the students of the Third Year, who are low scorers in the BHU entrance exams. Two girls are accommodated in a single room and a few guest charge rooms are also available in Pragya Kunj. The rooms are big and well furnished.
Mess facility
The mess is also available here at Pragya Kunj Hostel and food is provided 4 times a day and one-time food is given on Sunday (chicken for non-veg) and no other meal is given on that day. Mess charge is Rs.3000 per month.
Other facilities
Apart from these indoor games are also there. Large halls are also there to prepare for any function and do rehearsals, water coolers are also available.
4. Kundan Devi
Overview
Kundan Devi hostel, MMV is commonly known as DJ. It is the nearest hostel from the college, just neighboring the college.
Number of rooms
Kundan Devi has a total of 47 rooms, all with the accommodation of only two rooms. It is allocated to the students of the second year of all the streams. It is allocated to the students with high cut off in the BHU entrance test.
Mess facilities
Kundan Devi has very good mess facilities, rooms are big but not well furnished, bathrooms are also not up to the mark but the quality of food is the best among all the hostels of MMV.
Food is provided 4 times a day and one-time food is given on Sunday (chicken for non-veg) and no other meal is given on that day in Kundan Devi Hostel. Mess charge is Rs.3000 per month.
Other facilities
Kundan Devi hostel of MMV has common halls, water coolers as well. In the common hall, students generally play, study, and enjoy themselves together.
5. Jyoti Kunj
Overview
Jyoti Kunj is the hostel commonly known as JK. It is the hostel situated in the interior of the MMV campus, the last hostel in the college. This is one of the largest hostels on the MMV campus. It has a very big garden and the corridors are also wider than other hostels. Jyoti Kunj hostel has 2 floors and the overall ambiance is quite fascinating.
Number of rooms
Jyoti Kunj Hostel, MMV has a total of 143 rooms with two girls per room. This hostel is allotted to only third-year students and a few rooms are allocated to postgraduate students as well.
Mess facilities
The mess facilities of Jyoti Kunj Hostel are very good, with the best part being chicken! it’s amazing!. It also charges only 3000Rs. per month and has the best food quality compared to all other hostels.
Apart from getting all information about the hostel, the most important thing is to get very high marks(index), so that you can get accommodation in any of the hostels of the MMV campus because if you don’t get a high index you will not be able to get the accommodation even if you come from Jammu or Kanyakumari!
