Procedure of Admission
Suppose the cut-off for admission in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is 250 and the student obtains marks ranging from 240-249, then they can secure their admission in the campus through a paid seat system. They can fill the paid seat form during the counselling process and submit it to the concerned personnel. After form submission, waits for the result day. Check your portal on time, it will tell you everything. The portal will get updated with your seat nature (regular or paid), campus (main or affiliated), and the required fee. The paid seat is available for both the main campus and affiliated colleges.

Students with paid seats have to pay an additional fee every year in addition to their regular fees. If considered for a course, the academic fee is Rs 3000. A student who has taken admission through paid seat system need to pay an amount of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 30,000 per year for the paid seat. The amount of paid seats varies from course to course. If a student’s regular fees is Rs 3000 and the paid seat fees of that course is Rs. 20,000, then the student who has taaken admission on a regular seat needs to pay Rs. 3000 in one year (9000 in 3 years) while students with a paid seat will have to pay 23000 in one year (69000 in 3 years). Hostel fees and mess fees are the same for both types of seats i.e. regular and paid.
Reservation Criteria
There is no reservation for OBC, SC, ST students on paid seat system in BHU. Admission completely depends on the index, rank, available seats and cut-off of seats paid.
Hostel facility for paid seat students
Hostel cut-off is different from course cut-off. There are limited seats in the BHU hostel. Generally, students with salaried seats are deprived of hostel facilities. But if the cut off rank of the hostel is 300 and a student has secured 250 hostel rank and has entered through the paid seat for his/her desired subject combination, then that student will also get hostel facility.
Difference between regular and paid seat students?
There is no difference in campus facilities, hostel facilities, academic facilities (the same faculty will teach both regular as well as paid seat students in the same academic building) only difference related to academic fee criterion.
For the paid seats, we have to apply separately at the time of counselling and we have to join counselling and fill the combination of our choice. If we take admission on the paid seat, there is a certain additional fee we have to submit to study in BHU with the course of our choice and the college of our choice.
