Offline classes suspended at BHU, committee headed by VC decided

BHU News: Semester exams at BHU will now be in online mode amid Corona’s growing transition. Apart from this, classes will also run in online mode. The committee headed by the acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. V.K Shukla has taken this decision.

What’s the news?

The corona has become uncontrollable in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Seeing the growing outbreak of the epidemic, it has been decided to conduct the semester examinations in Banaras Hindu University in online mode. In a high-level meeting chaired by the university’s acting Vice-Chancellor Professor VK Shukla, the university administration has taken this decision in view of the deteriorating situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Apart from this, it was also decided in the meeting that classes will be run in the online mode only in the university. The university administration has also urged the students residing in hostels to leave the hostel and go home.

Members expressed concern at the meeting on the health security of our students. Keeping these circumstances in mind, it was decided that the students should be made aware of this serious situation and keeping in mind their health safety, they should be advised that since the classes and examinations will be conducted online in the university, so, Instead of living in hostels, they should study and take exams only by staying in a safe environment at their home.

Classes closed in just 1 month

The university was closed in March 2021 with the start of the lockdown. After 11 months, offline classes were started for only final year students from 22 February 2021 but due to the increasing coronavirus cases in the second wave of Corona, 1 month later, offline classes were released on March 22 at the university.

Authorities appeal, be careful, follow the rules

The officials present in the meeting appealed to all the students and members of the BHU family not to take any kind of negligence in view of the danger of Covid-19. Follow all safety standards such as the use of masks and sanitisers, frequent handwashing with soap, physical distance rules, avoid going to crowded places, etc.
