Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, popularly known as MMV is situated inside the BHU campus, Lanka, Varanasi. It is one of the premier institutions of higher education for girls associated with Banaras Hindu University and was established in 1929 by the visionary educationist Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Ji for promoting women’s education and empowerment.

As Banaras Hindu University is known as ‘Green Campus’ so the inheritance is being carried out by institution in the form of beautiful exuberant green campus spread over 1360 acres. BHU is known as ‘Capital of knowledge’ and this institution is also contributing with all of its heart in keeping the same legacy. Admission Procedure

As Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is an integral part of Banaras Hindu University, so the same admission procedure is applicable as being formulated by the university. So students have to give a centralized entrance examination named UET-for undergraduate students, PET- for postgraduate students. After qualifying the examination and at the time of counselling, students will be required to fill MMV as the preference for taking admission into it.

How to reach

One can directly and easily reach to the BHU main campus by taking cab, autorickshaw or e-rickshaw from Varanasi Cantt. station paying Rs 20 or Rs 30. After arriving at the BHU main gate, one has to travel merely 50m-70m and then one will saw the entrance gate of MMV on the left-hand side of the road.
