Banaras Hindu University: Late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will soon be a part of the curriculum of Banaras Hindu University. Establishment of Atal Study Centre will be started to study them at BHU. With this inception, Banaras Hindu University will become the country’s first Atal Study Center. The brainstorming continues for the beginning of the establishment of the Atal Study Centre. In a meeting chaired by BHU’s VC Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar, an 11-member committee has been constituted to prepare the syllabus of the Center for Atal Studies. This committee includes 6 representatives from the Faculty of Social Sciences and two from other centers of BHU.
More than a dozen courses will start
More than a dozen courses will be introduced through the Atal Study Center. Topics taught in the two-year degree course at postgraduate level include ancient Indian political thought system, history of modern Indian political thought, history of national movement, development journey of independent India, cultural nationalism, global perspective of Hindutva, Modi era in modern India, Democracy and constitution, methods of employment generation, skill development are prominently proposed. The course outline will be prepared by December 30 and handed over to the Vice-Chancellor.
