BHU Campus to reopen: Surely a good news for the students of Banaras Hindu University! Today (10th Nov, 2020), a high-level meeting was convened at the central university of university under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar. It was agreed that BHU should be opened in a phased manner by following the guidelines issued by the University Grant Commission (UGC).

Overview
A high-level meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Vice-chancellor Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar at the central office of BHU. In this meeting, a decision has been taken that separate Committees will be formed at the university, faculty, department and hostel levels to formulate SOPs and monitor their compliance to prevent the spread of Covid-19 global epidemic and ensure the safety of students. After then, the university will be opened in a phased manner based on the report of these committees.
The concerned departments have been directed to complete the sanitation and cleanliness work of the hostels which have been closed for a long time. Well, the date of opening of the campus has not been decided. But it was ensured that the study will be continued by online mode. In this regard, departments can make their requirements known to the university administration. In the meeting, Rector Prof. Vk Shukla, Registrar Dr. Neeraj Tripathi, Student Coordinator Prof. MK. Singh, Chief Proctor, Prof. O. P. Rai, Director of Institutions, Dean, Head of Department, Hostel Administrator etc. were present.
