In view of the spread of corona infection, BHU’s foundation day was organized in a normal manner this year on the Vasant Panchami. During this time, the Banaras Hindu University celebrated the university’s foundation day (Basant Panchami) with enthusiasm and gaiety. Worship and prayers were conducted at the establishment site with Vedic rituals. Amidst the Vedic chanting, members of the BHU family worshipped Mother Saraswati and wished everyone happiness, peace and prosperity. After the Havan Pujan and ritual, the Vice-Chancellor also recalled the journey from the foundation day of BHU-The capital of Knowledge, through a brief speech.
New buildings inaugurated
On the occasion of foundation day of Banaras Hindu University (Vasant Panchami), Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar inaugurated the newly constructed Nurses’ flats, service-cum-administrative-block and Amrit Pharmacy in the Trauma Center campus. Banaras Hindu University is celebrating its 105th Foundation Day on the occasion of Vasant Panchami today. While the BHU Vice-Chancellor offered prayers at the establishment site with Vedic customs, inaugurated the nurse’s flat-administrative block and participated in the Foundation Day celebrations.
