BA LLB (Bachelor of Law) is an undergraduate course offered by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for the students who want to make their career in the field of judiciary sector and law. Eligibility
It is important for the candidates to fulfil the eligibility criteria if they are willing to pursue their B.A. LLB in law from BHU. The norms are:
Age Limit: Age of the candidate should not exceed 22 years of age.
Eligibility Conditions: Candidates applying for the course BA LLB should have completed their Higher Secondary school(10+2) from any recognized board.

Admission Procedure
- The first and the most prominent that the candidate should fulfil all the eligibility criteria required for the admission.
- The student must appear and qualify the entrance test (BHU-UET) and complete all the formalities related to the course to take admission.
- The selection of candidates will be completely based on their Merit Index scored in the entrance exam.
- The actual admission will start after the declaration of the results. The Admission Committee of the department will do the procedure. The Head of Department will issue e-call letters to the selected candidates to appear for counseling procedure with certain documents.
- The call letters will be available on the BHU portal, i.e., bhuonline.in . Login to the portal to download and print the call letter. The information to selected candidates will prevail through their provided E-Mail I’d or Mobile Number. Candidates are advised to give correct information.
- The hostel will be allotted to the students on the basis of the Merit Index and distance of the college from their residence.

Seat Reservation
Candidates will be allotted reservation seats only if they will submit self-attested certificates in order to prove that they belong to this particular category. The reservation is done on the following basis:

Subject included in this course
This course includes both theoretical and practical session. In theory, both arts and humanities subjects are there such as sociology, philosophy, history political science. And in law, it includes family law, International Law and constitutional law. Apart from the theory, there are also some practical session for making the study interactive such as Moot court, case studies, research work, and law internship.
Application Form
The Application Form for the course is available on the BHU portal itself, i.e., bhuonline.in . Candidates need to fill their qualification details, communication links, and personal details in the form. Candidates need to upload their passport size photographs along with their signature in the form. The last step is to pay application fees. They can pay online (Net-Banking) or through Challan in banks via cash. The application fees is Rs. 600/- for others and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PH. The issuance of the Admit Card begins 7 days prior to the entrance test.
Entrance Test Syllabus
The entrance test comprises 150 MCQ’s to be solved in 180 minutes carrying 450 marks in total.

Carrer After
After completing BA LLB of 5 years, there are various opportunities open for the degree holders like:
litigation lawyer- After completing BA LLB, if graduate choose this as their career option then they can practice law at any court in India. For this, they will have to appear for the All Indian Bar Examination (AIBE).
Legal advisor- This is another option that graduates can opt after the completion of their law degree. As the name suggests, the degree holder needs to act as a lawyer for government organization and companies.
Company secretary- This is one of the most trending courses which law students opt after their graduation. In this job, you will be recruited with good salary package if your knowledge is good in law and running of the business. For becoming company secretary, you required to pursue a certified course in it by Institute of Company Secretary of India(ICSI).
Work in corporate Industries- after completing graduation in law, a student can directly recruit from their college itself with the very good package in the corporate industry based on their knowledge in the field of law.
Further Studies
Pursue MBA- This is one of the most attractive fields for the student due to attractive jobs and experience offered by this course. MBA is a post-graduation degree which can only be done after completion of graduation. After completing MBA in Business Law, a scholar can be recruited with good package depending upon his/her classification.
Master of law (LLM)- For pursuing higher education, Master of Law (LLM) is a good option for many of the LLB degree holders.
Judiciary exams- After completion of Bachelor of Law (LLB), a graduate can apply for the judicial exam as well.
