About the Course
Master of Vocation in Medical Lab and Technology (M.Voc in MLT) is a two-year Master’s degree course just like M.Sc. It is a PG level course related to the allied health care sector. This course is fully focused on making the students “ready to work” for different industries enhancing their knowledge in the subject as well as the scope of employability.
A degree holder of M.Voc in MLT is an all-rounder as far as the medical laboratory is concerned. Banaras Hindu University South Campus offers Master of Vocation in Medical lab Technology which is currently running under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDU, Kaushal Kendra) to provide the quality education and the knowledge of technology and advancement of Medical Laboratories in India and all over the world.
If we take the healthcare sector in concern, it is growing at a rapid pace in India. To maintain this phase of growth, the industry requires skilled medical and allied healthcare employees with the ability to cope up with the advancement of recent researches and day to day challenges. Well, these Medical lab Staff also falls under the category of allied healthcare workers.
The professionals are not only demanded by the healthcare industry employers but also by the consumers of this industry, i.e., patients. This course (M.Voc in MLT) creates the grounds for enhancing vertical growth opportunities for the Medical Lab Technician degree holder.
M.Voc Medical Lab Technology is a postgraduate level vocational training program. Theoretically, it is a Master’s Degree course. Students who have completed his/her 10+2+3 from relevant B.Voc or Bachelor’s degrees are eligible to pursue this course.
Eligibility
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to M.Voc. (Medical Laboratory Technology), if he/she has passed NSQF level 7 OR Graduation with 50% marks with one or two of the following subjects: Bachelor in Vocation in Medical Lab. Technology, or B.Sc. in Medical Lab. Technology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology or B.Tech. (Biotech) or MBBS/BPT/BOT/BAMS/BNYS.
Duration of Course
2 Years (4 semesters)
M.Voc in MLT is a vocational training program. It stands for Master of Vocation in Medical Lab and Technology. This course is of 2 years-long in duration.
Procedure of Admission
- BHU conducts its Post Graduate Entrance Test (BHU-PET) for taking admission in various PG courses. The entrance form will be available on the official website ( www.bhuonline.in ) in the month of Jan-Feb, every year.
- Its link is also available on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in).
- The candidate has to fill the application form online (Sending form via mail or other modes will not be entertained.)
- An email will be sent on the registered email I’d regarding Counseling and other details to the candidates who have applied for the course.
- Accordingly, Candidates can proceed further for Admission.
